Restoration
Accutone Piano Service
offers one of the Northeast region's most complete piano restoration services.
Interior restorations are most often done in the customer's home, and include
replacing pins and strings, action work, soundboard repair, pinblock repair and
replacement, when needed, and keytop recovering when desirable.
Complete interior and exterior restorations, including case refinishing, are
done in our Central NY shop location. See our Photo
Gallery for an idea of what we could do for your piano.

Many people ask us if their
piano is worth the investment of a restoration. Each piano is different, as
is each customer. Generally, if the piano is structurally sound, it will
make a good restoration candidate. This can only be determined by having our
technician examine the instrument for overall health and condition. Many
people choose to restore an older piano because it has sentimental value,
having been in the family for years. Other people just like the sound of an
older piano. Our general rule of thumb is, if you like the way the piano
sounds as it is, a restoration will only improve those things you find
appealing about the instrument.
